Job Description

We are a large well established property development and lettings company based in Mansfield. A vacancy has arisen for a Tenancy Support Manager. We maintain a supporting role to ensure sustainable tenancies and homes for our customers.

The successful applicant will show passion for supporting customers, especially those having difficulty in the management of their tenancy and payments. The role involves the ability to resolve issues head on through open and supportive dialogue.

The role will involve visiting customers in their own home and providing support on budgeting and representation for entitlement to benefit and housing support. Thus, tenancies are maintained and the company’s income is maximised.

Previous knowledge within a tenancy support role, benefits advice role or debt management would be useful, but more important is a passion to assist customers and the ability to empathise, as well as an aptitude to learn the framework for assessing, reviewing and representing on detailed benefit rules for entitlement.

You will have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and sound literary skills in order to communicate effectively with and make representation to partner agencies.

Job Description

  • To maximize rental income by effective provision of in depth money advice and appropriate support / enforcement where required.
  • To develop and maintain a high level of personal contact with tenants to minimize the level of debt owed.
  • To ensure rent reviews are completed for all tenancies.
  • Interviewing tenants and giving advice on tenant-landlord relationships, and housing benefit and Universal Credit.
  • Identify and provide support to vulnerable tenants and to assist tenants to sustain a tenancy.
  • To undertake work in respect to income recovery, court case work to include eviction where alternate solutions cannot be found. This will involve visiting tenants in arrears and undertaking income and expenditure assessments and agreeing payment plans with tenants.
  • Assist with the compilation of management information and statistics and to contribute to individual and team performance targets.
  • To provide an accurate and comprehensive record both on the in-house software and in tenant files of all visits, arrangements, interviews and action.

Estates Administrator

We are a growing company and we are looking for an experienced administrator to work within our busy Estates team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Providing high quality and timely customer focused repairs delivery.

Create and maintain relationships with our tradespeople and continue to develop the value they add to our business.

Ensuring that repairs are carried out to a range of properties in a timely and co-ordinated manner.

Maintaining and operating the company’s database of required repairs.

Management and reconciliation of suppliers invoices to ensure that we are invoiced correctly and that invoices are paid quickly

Collate reports measuring the teams’ performance.

Visiting properties to meet contractors, surveyors or tenants

The ideal candidate must be able to:

Take responsibility, make decisions and problem solve through research and analysis

Prioritize workloads

Work in a team

Be persuasive and possess good negotiation and communication skills whether in a professional context or in real life

Have sound Microsoft Office skills, including Excel

Be a vehicle owner and driver

Enjoy an open and learning environment

Experience in property, the building trade, recruitment, customer service, other direct experience or transferable skills is advantageous.

This is a full time position based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Salary is dependent on experience and ability with potential for growth.

There is also a bonus scheme based on team results
